FIFO Carter was born from an idea our founder had in 2011. As a former FIFO worker, who travelled to and from work on a weekly basis on various airlines for more than 13 years, he was sick of the arduous and expensive journeys to and from work. This journey was made even harder during COVID. Our founder had an idea to streamline the travel process for FIFO Workers .
It has always been our goal to create a company that not only catered for these workers but also gave them the things that they needed most – safety, time at home and control over their travel and expenses.
Fatigue was a big factor in creating FIFO Charter. Having flown or driven from a mine site back to Brisbane regardless of finishing a day or night shift, our founder had often gotten to his destination and not remembered most of the trip or had numerous close calls with other vehicles on the roads during his journey due to fatigue. This very reason is a huge personal factor in his decision to start this venture so that he could assist with better accommodating FIFO workers and mining companies to safely manage getting their workers to and from their destinations.
